Iron ore is a mineral substance which, when heated in the presence of a reductase, will yield metallic iron (Fe). It almost always consists of iron oxides, the primary forms of which are magnetite (Fe3O4) and hematite (Fe2O3).
Iron ore is the source of primary iron for the world’s iron and steel industries. It is therefore essential for the production of steel, which in turn is essential to maintain a strong industrial base. Almost all (98%) iron ore is used in steel-making.
Iran Review Business
Iron ore is mined in about 50 countries. The seven largest of these producing countries account for about three-quarters of total world production. China is the world’s biggest steel producer and iron ore market, and Iran ranks fifth among iron ore exporters to China.
We extract iron ore from beneath the surface rock, crush it and concentrate it. We can then either transform it into iron pellets suitable for use in blast furnaces, or transport Raw Material directly to our deep-water port facility in Persian Gulf to be shipped to customers around the world.
Rabin International Group accounts for 6,000 Containers exported Iron Ore to china in 2013. It includes both magnetite and hematite grades. Iranian materials usually sailed to China on container vessel and traveling time between Bandar Abbas, the main iron ore loading port of Iran to Qingdao in China could take around 24 days.
